TEAM APPAREL AND EQUIPMENT
What equipment is my swimmer(s) required to have?
Suits:
All swimmers must have a competitive swimsuit for meets (practice suits may be recreational suits, not bikinis). The team suit can either be all black, or black with some green trim.
Swim Caps:
It is preferred that all swimmers wear a team cap at swim meets. Team caps are available for purchase through the Booster Club for $10. There are regular caps and long hair caps available. (girls with long hair are required to either wear a swim cap or put their hair into a ponytail or bun)
When purchasing a swim cap, there are two types to choose from: Silicone and Latex
Silicone caps: These caps are thicker yet more stretchy, and don't tend to tear as easily as latex. Silicone caps also tend to be more comfortable for the swimmer, however, these caps can cost between $5 and $15.
Latex caps: These caps tend to fit tighter to the swimmers head (many young swimmers don't like that tightness), but are thinner than the silicone caps, thus making them easier to tear. Latex caps are much less expensive than the silicone caps.

Goggles:
Swimmers must have swim goggles, for practices and meets. Since all swimming is done outdoors, it is highly recommended that you purchase goggles with a dark or mirrored lens.
Fins:
By the time a swimmer joins the intermediate group (or faster) they are expected to have their own swim fins. Fins are provided for Beginning-Intermediate swimmers, however, they are encouraged to bring their own swim fins, if possible.
Fins must be made of a rubberized material (not plastic), and must have an enclosed foot pocket. Dive fins, or fins with a heel strap are not acceptable.
